VICTOR, HIS ROOSTER MAX AND
THE MYSTERY OF THE MUSIC BOX
Performances Wed 9.4. at 6:30pm and Thu 10.4.2014 at 10am and 6:30
at the Alexander Theatre, in Helsinki Finland.
Onion farmer Victor and his rooster Max find a box in the field. It turns out to be a music box containing magical powers. The humble life of the two friends changes dramatically and Viktor’s cottage fills with colors and the joy of dance.
Curious characters appear from the music box: Prince Cerudo and chef Monsieur Marinade. The great thing is that Victor and Max don’t need to leave their cottage.
The news of the music box reaches the notorious mansion lady, Olga Witcherova. Witcherova finds the music box, and she ends up kidnapping Max who used to belong to her. Max managed to escape and he pushed the witch-chinned lady head first into a boiling cauldron.
Victor and his friends set off to save the rooster from the gloomy forest and they are forced to give up their most prized possession to save their friend. One of the characters in the adventure is the girl next door, Vera, whose crush for Prince Cerudo finally leads the story to a happy ending.
Victor is a story of friendship, of cherishing it, and of how privileged and greedy people may sometimes mend their ways. The strong visual quality of the dance work with its versatile language of movement leave space for the spectator’s imagination.
