Everything that is said using words or movement displays versatile thinking and a power of expression rising from it.

Tuomo Railo's dance and theatre creation Omnipotens tackles the illusion of omnipotence, a psychiatric and mental state, in which violence turns into action that is justified with political goals.

The piece is both an essay on humanity and a ritualistic dance performance. It shakes up and evokes to think on one hand, and consoles and encourages into action for peace on the other. Åsne Seierstad's book One of Us was used as background material for the piece. The book tells the story of the 2011 tragedy in Norway by means of the novel.

The music for the performance was composed by Juhani Nuorvala. The set was designed by Metti Nordin, costumes by Anna Ruohonen and lightning by Pasi Pehkonen. Omnipotens is performed by four dancers, two musicians and an actor.

Omnipotens premiered 31.3.2016 in Espoo Cultural Centre and is currently touring in Finland. The premiere of the performance in English will take place 2018.
